Jack will discuss researching in England, emphasizing unique pre-1800 sources; researching families who can be connected to British nobility, landed gentry, and people of historical importance.  Jack's family dates back to the 15th century in England.
 
Visitors are welcome at General Meetings.  Membership is not required to attend.

Annual reserach trip to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.  Join us for a week of research and fellowship.  This trip is open to all members and non-members.

Topic:  Historic Kendall County Jail Museum
 
Paul will give an interesting talk about the new museum that is being created at the Historic Kendall County Jail.  He will be speaking on the artifacts found in this area by Dean Sprowl and other artifacts which tell a story about our surrounding area.  Paul works for the City of Boerne and has spent many hours working with the Kendall County Historic Commission.

Topic:                   The Canary Islanders:  Laying the Foundations of San Antonio
  • Tracing the origins of the original Canary Islanders. 
  • Motivation to journey to San Antonio. 
  • Trials and accomplishments in San Fernando (San Antonio) de Bexar.
Margaret is an 11th generation Texan and traces her direct family line to 11 of the original Canary Islander Families.  Wynn loves Texas History (especially San Antonio’s).  Both are involved in the ongoing effort of tracing their family histories.
