Copyright Law and Licensing need to be of interest to all genealogy researchers!  Both your research and your genealogy publications can be affected regardless if a narrative family history or a simple pedigree family line.  Jack Gatewood, member of GSKC since early 1980s, has a career background with Copyright and Licensing knowledge, application and inappropriate usages.  You will learn much in the two hours on Saturday, January 4th or Monday, January 6th.  Jack will provide the same information on either of the dates.  Members and Non-members are welcome to attend at no cost.  Great way to start your New Year genealogy research.

Family History Place, 114 East Blanco Rd., Boerne, TX 78006 have taken your DNA test!  Now you have your list of matches – thousands of them.  How can you use these matches to find missing ancestors, parents of adoptees, non-parental events, and break down brick walls?  Lloyd Shenberger, a very accomplished researcher and GSKC Board member, will discuss some basic DNA principles, examine the matching methodology, look at some third party tools, and use a case study to demonstrate what you can do with your DNA test.  Join us Saturday, February 1st or Monday, February 3rd....Lloyd will be at both.  Same information each day.  Members and non-members are welcomed; no cost to attend.
